STEM Prize for Palouse-Garfield High School Junior

Every year, starting in 1988, we award a STEM Prize to a female Garfield-Palouse High School Junior nominated by her teachers for excelling in science (including agriculture science), technology and/or math.

Sending girls to AAUW Tech Trek Camp

Since 2015, our main branch project centers around Tech Trek,  a week-long, sleep-away STEM summer camp for 7th grade girls held at Eastern Washington University, in Cheney, WA .  Starting with teacher nominations, we identify, interview and select campers from middle schools in Garfield, Palouse, Oakesdale, LaCrosse, Colton and Tekoa, as well as raise funds to support the campers’ attendance.  Between 2015 and 2019, we have helped send 29 girls to Tech Trek Camp.  Some photos below!
